The Barétous Valley has two Nordic skiing areas including the Issarbe skiing area, which is 17 kilometres from the village of Lanne-en-Barétous and located within that commune. It comprises 9 cross-country ski trails, that is to say 31 kilometres, at an altitude of 1,450 metres. The Issarbe ski resort enjoys an exceptional panorama of the Pic d'Anie massif and the Béarn Pyrenees. The trails go through forests and over crests. The countryside is very wild.
The resort is devoted to daytime activities and is ideal for snowshoeing in the winter and great walks in the summer.
The pistes are freely accessible during the week. The pistes are open at the weekend and every day during school holidays.
