The musketeer’s gate in Aramits

The Village gave its name to ARAMIS, one of the famous four musketeers in the novel by Alexandre DUMAS. Henry d’Aramitz was, in fact, the lay abbot of ARAMITS in Barétous.
Discover the large entrance gate from the 17th century, the only remains of the lay abbey located near the village church, with several explicative panels. Free visit. From the character in the novel to reality.
