In Barétous valley, where the wild trout is king, rivers and streams are by permit only. Fly fishing
or ultra light or spy in family, many streams offer a lot
of possibilities.
And if great angling adventures tempt you, Baretous is specially well located. Central point of departure for bigs “Gaves”, pyrenean mystical rivers.
It only takes 15 minutes to get to the Aspe, Oloron or Saison “Gaves”.
2 steches are reserved for under 14 and diseabled people in Aramits and Arette. The limits of the fishing
areas are signposted.
At Aramits : on the Vert d’Aramits, from the’pétanque’ ground foot bridge to the confluence of the Vert d’Arette and the Vert de Barlanès
At Arette : on the Virgou : 20 m upstream of the rue du Virgou footbridge up to 45 m downstream from the Oscaby bridge. Type of fish available: trout and gudgeon.

In natural surroundings at the foot of the Pyrenees, "Les Truites du Haut-Barétous" fish farm is ready to welcome you every day.
The fishing area is open all year round and fits perfectly into the character of the site. Il is a pond where you can go line fishing (equipment supplied). The trout return to their wild habits by feeding in a natural way and therefore become fitter and more and more combative to test your fishing skills.
